I love your work but your web site is getting a little tired and dated. I came accross your work a few years back- I think it was an exhibition at the Royal College or the Slade and I am pleased you have developed your very definate style. In particular your portraits bring out the character and enery of the sitter. I look forward to seeing more recent work on your web site soon.

I like the work, but I don't like that you block the option to go back from your site. It is very unpleasant, and you lose all references which lead you to that site.

Colin, What Can I say? You are so talented, all of your paintings are beautiful, I particulary like the landscapes and knew Lyme Regis the instant I saw it. It's such a shame that you can't devote yourself to paining full time and I'm sorry that I dont have the words to express how touched I was by looking at them, or the money to buy them all! I'm really looking forward to seeing the picture ot Barcelona please let me know when its completed so that I can log on and look!

Very tasteful website. Work interesting to view.Some may be impressed by the range of subjects but there is a hint, for myself anyway, that we are looking at work that was created for arid academic reasons. That is to say whilst the art displays a technical talent it somehow seems to be "sticking to the rules". Don't get me wrong the work is pleasing to regard but my feeling is that the artist is hiding behind it instead of attempting by "letting go" to communicate something of himself to the viewer. The artist may do as he pleases, of course, but it would be interesting to know where the artist thinks he is going. I think I am sensing a lack of commitment and a certain self-satisfaction. Colin, I think I met you at the Slade several years ago but you probably don't remember me. Next time I am in London I will try to look you up. By the way I deserted art for psychotherapy, it's a much better living! I always felt I was begging for approval when I was painting "seriously". My career is demanding but I still find time for my art though by now it seems you have become a fulltime international artist. Bonne chance! T.

I have not visited the site in a while and am surprised to discover how much it has grown, I think Colin is a wonderful artist and covers such a wide range of material, I still like the landscapes and the way he makes trees come alive in such a dramatic way. Also the sculpture is fantastic, all of Colins work has a mystical quality it isn't just good to look at it transports the viewer into another world, part memory part imagination. Your website looks fantastic Colin! Many of us would be very envious. I enjoyed seeing the many works I have never seen before, in particular Ledbury Road, North Africa, the New Mexico paintings for their colour and Llangefni Trees because they reveal some conflict not evident in all of your works! I also liked the sculptural bowls - these and the little figures would look very good at an exhibition. Well done!

There was not alot I disliked about Colins paintings. He has found a way to capture a moment to detail and that is very impressive. I found 'Landscapes' to be my favourite site as it shows much colour and definition. Nice work Colin.

Likes & dislikes about this site : you have an admirable website and the art as far as one can tell is very workmanlike. the range of subjects is impressive and pleasing, but i especially like the cafe scenes. the nudes disappoint, could you not find a more appealing model, for example reclining nude should perhaps be called cowering nude. i would suggest you find a more outgoing person, some one who would avoid the foetal position. perhaps after all you were making a point that has eluded me.

I have known Colin from the Birkbeck art history classes since 1998 and have always been impressed by his contributions to discussions. This is the first time I have seen his works of art and I am very impressed. My favourites are Capri, Tuscany and New Mexico 1 and 2.

I was impressed by the range of works and their feeling of a moment captured. I was perhaps disappointed not to see the dates that the paintings were 'created' and information surrounding how they came about, would I feel have added to their pleasure. However, I look forward to seeing more paintings and returning to the site at a future date.
